The French National Team have unveiled their new soccer jersey for the 2010 World Cup Finals next summer. France qualified for the World Cup in controversial circumstances after a handball from Thierry Henry setup their winning goal in their qualifying play-off match against the Republic of Ireland.
The 2010 France home soccer jersey is manufactured by Adidas and will be the last French kit made by Adidas before Nike take up the contract to make France soccer jerseys in 2011.
France have a number of top stars in the squad including Henry, Franck Ribery, Kaim Benzema, Yohann Gourcuff, Lassana Diarra and Nicholas Anelka.
The latest France football shirt is based on the 1980s kit worn by legendary Michel Platini. France will be hoping their new jersey helps them recapture the form which saw them win the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 Championships.
At the last World Cup in 2006, they reached the Finals where they lost on penalties to Italy, in a match best remembered for Zinedine Zidane’s famous headbutt on Marco Materazzi.
